This 100% cotton woven blanket features the English bluebell, Hyacinthoides non-scripta, from William Curtis's Flora Londinensis, the late-18th-century botanical survey of plants growing wild in and around London.

The bluebell plate appeared in volume 2 in 1777 under the historical name Hyacinthus non-scriptus. Now classified as Hyacinthoides non-scripta, the plant is also known as the English or common bluebell. The illustration follows the plant from its bulb and roots through long, narrow leaves to a nodding stem of violet-blue, bell-shaped flowers, with enlarged floral details arranged below.

Warm paper tones, muted blue and green, and the scientific structure of the plate give the design the quiet precision of historical botanical illustration.
