This 100% cotton woven blanket features Pierre-Joseph Redouté’s Agave Spicata, a detailed botanical illustration from his Les Liliacées series. Long, narrow green leaves rise around a tall flowering stalk, with smaller botanical studies below showing the structure of the flower. The restrained color and precise observation give the design the character of a historic botanical plate rather than a generic plant pattern.

Published in 1815 as plate 485 in volume 8 of Les Liliacées, Agave Spicata belongs to Redouté’s extensive early nineteenth-century study of flowering plants. The plate presents the full plant alongside closer anatomical details, preserving both the scientific purpose of botanical illustration and the careful composition for which Redouté’s work is known.

Here, that botanical artwork is translated into a textured woven blanket with colorful fringed edges. The 100% cotton construction is soft, breathable, and durable, while the vertical agave composition gives the finished piece a distinctive natural-history feel.
